Ok I have to interject my 2 cents here and as the people that have been around awhile know its kinda different than the rest of you.
1) Bush has done nothing but what he said he would do. Go ahead try and argue with me but youre wrong.
2) As far as Iraq goes Saddam is an evil @sshole that did nothing but spread distrust and pain and misery. While some of you would say Bush does the same things...I don't know how you can compare the two. Last I checked the US hasnt used mustard gas on its own people. There are no torture chambers here and even the terrorists held in Cuba are treated inumerably better than even children were under Saddam.
3) If you want to say Bush and Blair lied about WMD fine go ahead but every major intel agency in the world (even from countries that boycotted the war) believed that he had or was going to have those weapons. AND AGAIN HE HAS USED THEM ON HIS OWN PEOPLE
4) Ok, so maybe if the US and co. hadnt gone to war the inspectors could have taken care of the WMD issue. Maybe, sure. Then we could have all laughed at the big bad US who thought we needed to fight and hailed the French(who happened to have invested millions of dollars in Iraqs oil industry) for protecting peace. THAT WOULD LEAVE ONE MAJOR ISSUE SADDAM IS STILL AN EVIL @sshole
5) Why Iraq, why not Korea, or Iran? Ok this gets a little fuzzier but allow me to clear up the BS. 13 UN resolutions, Lying to the world in its arms statement even after the very veague yet strong language in the last resolution. Not to mention a list of human rights atrocities that are on par with atrocities in cambodia. Granted there are some that are worse. Does defeating evil in one place make it bad for not defeating it someplace else though?
6) You may all not like Bush and Blair but many do. For example I do. I am willing to fight and die for my country. I am in the Air Force (the best damn air force in the world btw) and we do more than just bomb children, ok. The US armed forces partake in thousands of humanitarian missions at home and around the world. We are lead by Bush, he is our captain. Until you are willing to fight and die for a cause your opinions hold little merit in my eyes. Go ahead, join the crowd and hate the evil oppressors who are countering EVIL people. Have fun we will protect you while you do it.
*big deep breath* Ok bring on the objections.
And dont just say oil. I will shoot that down right now. The US does not go to war simply for oil. Bosnia(we still have troops there), Korea(we still have troops there), Vietnam, Phillipenes, Iraq, Iraq2, Afghanistan(troops there), Rawanda, Somalia...hrmmm other than the two wars in Iraq...not alot of oil rich countries there
