My man thought that I am not mature because I play games. Ha! He couldn´t survive even two minitues in a battle in Divinity or other game... Till he desided to find a more mature mate...

(...) 6 years younger than me [Linked Image]

Now why I don´t find that sad <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

I guess I'm lucky. My Husband is also a game nut. He doesn't really like a lot of the same games I do, but he's always on his computer, playing his games while I play mine. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

If this is a comfort for you: it has nothing to do with the PC.

I have a fishtank and am specialised on certain breeds - I remember a visitor (he had to repair something in my flat) standing in front of my tank - and we had a long chat. His girlfriend hated his fishtank - and he couldn't believe that females not only have one as well but are full of knowledge, interest and love for these animals.

It's a prob if both don't share at least ONE passion. My best friend and her new husband are both fish lovers - when they moved together, they joined them. This flat has 3 tanks now - and even if they quarrel: peace is there if they take care of the fish, exchange knowledge and share the same interest.

Perhaps I must have some fish <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/stupid.gif" alt="" />

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> A snake maybe?

That will do the job <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

Wynter, my ex boy friends were mainly strategy gamers, I learned a lot by watching them playing - and therefore I know enough about this genre to decide what I can buy for the library -> so? It was still a win-win strategy (for my job knowledge) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Ashamed of what? That you were a better gamer than your ex? That he needed a "more mature female" to feel superior? GAH! That you allow your inner child to come out and play?

Rest is better in PM privacy, hm? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Why is that? I don´t believe you. Someone with so much humor and kind heart like you must have a lot of friends! Perhaps you have them but you don´t know it. Just look around a little bit. You will be surprised <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Wow, i always thinked you was a man, maybe the reason is your nickname, i don't know, realy nice to know this, i remember of the first time when you came here to the forum, now i understand everything, i always thinked a little strange how you talked about many things, ROTFL <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
Now i'm laughing. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

@Shyon

I forgot to answer to your message.
When i came in this forum i took my picture in the Larian page of DD avatars.
I like this green dragon, it looks very funny.
But it is not really a female picture !
In the french forum, i have a female picture.

A lot of things are not very important in the relationship in a forum, specially when the people are living very far from each other.
The gender is not important !

I have to say that i have done the same mistake as you.
During a very long time i thought that Marian was a women.
Even when i saw his picture, with his long hair, i had a doubt !

***Marian, i am very sorry, please forgive me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> ***

Disagree, the gender is always important.
I don't wanna be treated like a woman (no offence ladies).

Lots of things are important in forums. It is not RL, but there are still relationships between members. Sure, it is possible to hide behind mighty avatar and nick, but the nature of a man or a woman is in his/her actions even in a virtual world.

Pls correct me if I am wrong.

I guess this is understandable, since the name 'Marian' tends to be a female name, but not necesarily so, back in Holland, I had a friend by the name of 'Marion' and I believe in the North American continent the name 'Caroll' can be female or male <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Ah I think it was Lucretia, who said "see you learn something everyday"

No offence taken just very curious: Please, define "being treated like a woman" or what you wouldn't like according to your definition.

1- A woman do not think as a man. If someone make a mistake about my gender i am not feeling offended, the friendly people can make mistakes !

2- I am not hiding, when someone asks me : are you a male or a female ? I answer i am a female.
I remember that Lucretia asked me this question too.
In the french language, we can't be confused because the words are differents for males and females.

3- I am going to edit my post immediately.

Barta

EDIT : Too late to edit my post ! I am dead <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />
