Just some things that I think about that site:

- I don't think you have a 60+ public? why is everything so big?
smaller = more info = less scrolling = more userfriendly
the header is HUGE, looks good tho but waste of space tbh.

- The hover state of the links is red, and makes it hard to read on the red background.

- I miss the Divinity atmosphere a bit, http://www.larian.com/Site/english/divinity/divinity.html has great atmosphere, i would loved to have seen an updated version of this, same layout, new colors, graphics etc..

I agree with the huge part there, but let them finish the game for now. and I don't really like the name-change <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

I disagree (not about the name change about the site) I don't know what color setting you use but it looks great on my screen. And the argument that it hasn't got the <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> style. That site is a "after the work is done" site. where all the aditional information after the game is released comes. You really should compare it with this site. Full of pretty graphics that invite the users to buy the game. But that's just my 2 cents (in 1 2€cent coin)

The website is best viewed in (at least) 1024*768 - higher is of course also good. Are there really that many people with a screen resolution of 800*600?
I'm curious in this actually.

They are red, aren't they? *MOD* CORRECTION: I mean [color:"white"] white[/color] of course.

Yes, I understand you. But <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> is a different game (same Universe, but different game) and needed another website. I for one, I am happy with this website. But of course, tastes and preferences differ <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Even if we would like to change the website (but we don't <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />) even then it would be very hard: it takes time and we don't have spare time for the moment. The recent press release already took enough of our time <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

I just hope you don't hate the <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> website <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

I have no hover state in red - the links are white and remain white when I move mouse over it. I activate link, go back = still in white. So I have no probs reading it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I wouldn't call it a banner, it's the header <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
But seriously: I understand you, but we won't change that anymore.
What screen resolution do you have?

hover state = when the mouse is over the link. I would suggest to change it to a darker shade of yellow, it fits in the current color sheme and will be more readable.

This is just a detail and not that important, but details are what make real good sites.

Correct, I understood hover state, Dragh - but nothing changes on my screen, remains white on red - BTW 1024x768 - maybe because it's a TFT?

@Drag

Take a look into the "Quelltext" (what´s the word in english? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> )
Code
....text='#FFFFFF' background='' link='#ffffff' vlink='#ffffff' alink='#ffffff'...

The links haven't got any hovering effects. So they can't be red.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />
But let me guess - what Browser are you using? Are you using custom styles in it?

German <=> English

Microsoft == wierd. Just format it takes less time then to find the sollution.

Hint: I keep all my important stuff on a sepperate partition and have a ghost image with windows,office and all the other software on it. Format and installation => 1 - 2 hours.

It´s really strange. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> As far as I know - IE hasn't got an option to use custom styles. Try to delete the temp-files. ....maybe it helps. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Yup, there are. Anyone who has NedStat or whatever running on their website to keep track of his/her hits, can also see the percentage of people who've watched it in various resolutions. You'll notice there are really a lot of people still working in 800x600 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" />
I even know people at work who're still working in that resolution, and they developing software! And no, they're not doing this to test if the software looks good in that resolution <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> They're just used to it, and don't feel they need to "upgrade". Of course, they'll be the first to complain that they can't see everything <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

What screen resolution do you have?

The header seems a little bit too big but the positive thing is that we can better see the characters.
I like a lot the red color and i think that the site looks good like it is.
It's easy to move from one section to another or to click on the flags to visit the french site or the german site.
My resolution is 1024/768 and i have no problems.

Well I guess that I am the only who likes the size of the header.
All links in white and stay white
using 1024x768 and everything looks good.

Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Colors... -> uncheck "Use hover color".

If that doesn't fix it, install Mozilla =)

They can blow up all two mijne pocket.
