When I read my last post it hurts my head. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" />
Yup, I agree that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> is simply 20 years later. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
I missed reading that thread altogether.
It seems that my thinking was not too alien to that of others.
The question that begs for an answer is that if the whole idea behind changing the name is to stick to sequel naming rules then why not Divinity 2?
I could think of a dozen better names, such as *The Curse*, *The Entrapment*, *Pirates of the Ranaar*, *Read Run and Rift* Or *Runes, Rifts and Ranaar* or *The Knight, the Servant and the Witch*.
However, we should not deny that the name Rift Runner sounded like Blade Runner when we first heard it and it really needed to be changed. So here is the positive side; if changing the name was not a very big deal then better hurry and change the name again very soon to something better before the distributors invest on advertising materials. If it is too late already to change it again then let us forget what a name should mean and stop thinking about it altogether.
If Lar decided to call it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> then fine, be it.
We can live with that without the fuss of whether it was a good or BaD decision. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
