In the link under:

http://www.beyond-divinity.com/

There is this sentence.

Your quest is set: To become a Riftrunner!

Of course you mean:
Your quest is set: To undo a curse <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> !

LOL, Lynn <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />

Watchagonnadooo!
Leave the runner to run the rifts or send him on a mission beyond divinity?
It is all very confusing now because we do not mind changing the name if you change the name, but changing the name without changing the name is kinda ... booohahahahaha. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

euhm...Jangut, it is his right to take a break instead of pushing up his post-count with irrelevant off-topic posts. And just to be honnest : he is right with his remark that the namechange brings some confusion. It is true that the namechange has caused some inconveniences with the original reason to call the game "riftrunner". Will Larian keep on calling the phenomenon the player has to go through "riftrunning" or will this term be banned from the game from now on?

Ouch Ouch Ouch.

1st, I don't think he was insulting him at all. He was asking him what he had been doing while he was gone. (correct me if I'm wrong).

2nd. WHo's been "with irrelevant off-topic posts"???? I thought that was my job, and is saying welcome back? what were you doing in the rbeak? offtopic, when he also had a reply to the thread?

when your post is more off topic, and "with irrelevant off-topic posts" "to push up his post count" then his is?

Even mine is making a point!

Go on with the post.

and, welcome back Dad.

hunter, u've miscontrued my words. i was wondering (of course, now i know) what happened to DAD so i asked him. the dude as always was kind to let me know he's keeping himself busy & healthy, which is good.

in fact, i'm the one who's off-topic & pushing up my post counts. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />
so please blame me, not DAD.

héhé...well, I was blaming you but I probably misunderstood your words, I thought you made a negative remark towards DAD and I wanted to react to that but let's forget it. Anyway, I still wonder if the term "riftrunner" will be kept.

I don't see why they couldn't keep the term "riftrunner" - It's not in the title anymore, so what? Having a tagline "to become a riftrunner" just raises questions, not confusion, imo.

Indeed, I do agree about raising questions such as “why the confusion?”. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Just kidding. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />

What I meant originally is that changing the title of the game is not a big deal.
Now the game is called *Beyond Divinity*

When you suddenly tell a very new potential customer, who never heard of the older title, that your quest is to become a Riftrunner and not even a Rift Runner, they could look up a dictionary and become certain that it is a spelling mistake about rifts and running.

Ok, so what is so fabulous about running across or through or along rifts?

Is that really a quest?

I humbly proposed the quest to be set for lifting a curse that can be found Beyond Divinity as a place, and happens Beyond Divinity (the game) in time, and might even demand powers Beyond That of a Divinity.

In other words, to become a rift-runner in a game called Riftrunner is not confusing but to become a rift runner in a game called Beyond Divinity begs for an explanation and raises questions, which causes confusion until the questions are answered.

And what happened to "play the game and you'll find out"? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

People never knew what a Jedi was until they read a "Star Wars" book/saw the movie/played the game

In that case it makes no difference if:

Your quest is set: To become a Riftrunner!
Or
Your quest is set: To become a Glokershfanner! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

In both cases you have to find out, right?

So it is not a strong advertisement point.

How about:
Your quest is set: To become a Riftrunner and lift a curse Beyond Divinity!

Ehm... I don't see the relation between argument A and conclusion B <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" />

That is OK, Kejero, we may agree to differ.
If you cannot see the relation then it is equally my responsibility for the bad representation of my logic.
I shall quit attempting to convince you and offer to leave it at that.

Of course if Larian Studios wish to write the box and the manual in runes they can do it, and if customers complain then they have to play the game to find out.

It is basically non of my business, as I am a mere fan of Divinity.
Thank you for your input my friend.

And now I'm missing the relation between A, B and the comparison C, but by all means, let's leave it at that! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />...

...Just don't consider going into the advertising business, ok? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shhh.gif" alt="" />
