Not their mistake: the publisher simply decided they didn't feel like supporting a patch. The same publisher who came up with a deadline. If you want to consider <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> an unfinished product, you can, but you can't blame the creators - it's simply not their call whether they release the game finished or unfinished. And it's not their decision to finish it off if it's unfinished at the time of the release. It's not a matter of learning from the first mistakes; the only ones that should learn, are the publishers. And the public, they should learn to be patient, so the publisher has no reason to rush anything. Of course, the publisher should stop creating hypes, so the public doesn't get impatient.
