Really? What about the well known radeon card bug that fails the test everytime... Even with the latest patch it fails! And if you use directdraw instead which passes the test, the game crashes 5-10 times per play session... Someone new to a year old game that has been patched shouldn't have to look up on the boards to find out that directx works regardless of the "test"... Then you have the dragon breastplate... You have spelling errors and grammatical errors throughout the entire game... "apologise", "artefact", "to" instead of "too" etc etc etc... And PLENTY of quests that break... Go look at the boards and there is a cumulative thread on it... Does that seem like a polished and patched game? Well, if DD never completely got bug fixed after its been released over a year, and Radeon card users get crashes unless they bypass the "test" to make sure it works, it looks to consumers like something that smacks of a rush job...
Oh, well, I guess since YOU had "no bugs" then everything is ok.. Doesn't matter that they lose prospective buyers... It isn't like fixing the Radeon screen test is a tough thing to Q&A or at least fix with subsequent patches... If I could run Unreal 2 on my system without a hiccup on the highest settings, why should DD fail in directx mode with this game? Sloppy finishing touches... And I understand that for their first game, which is why I am suggesting they don't make the same mistake the 2nd time around when they actually have some funds supporting them!
Since when do spelling mistakes prevent you from finishing the game? Some people speak several languages, btw, and if they make spelling mistakes in one, it should be tolerable. 'Plenty' of quests that break? As I said, the only problem I had is minimap turning to a blue square. Which Radeon are you using?
What makes you a prospective buyer? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
'some funds supporting them'. Don't worry, this time they have leprechauns in the studio.
