Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks OOPS!

My DD game had a bug in it and i uninstalled it but all the saved games went to! is there a backup file made by the game any were? thanx <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

The uninstall program should have asked you if you wanted to keep your existing saves and settings.
Each saved game is a separate subfolder in the '..\Divine Divinity\Run\savegames' folder.

What point in the game were you? What class / gender? If the saves are gone, maybe you can get a save from someone else at a similar point, so you do not have to start over. I have saves from a male warrior, but the game was started under v1.29, so is missing some of the story fixes and changes from the 1.34 patch.

I was the warrior woman and id just gone into that deser place ive forgot what its called! Thats why I dont want to play the game from the begining because its too far! I clicked no because i wasnt paying attension. I just wondered if its kept them anyway.

That happened to me once with the game Homeworld, plus it eradicated everything else I had in its folder ... Tips, Tricks, Forum topics from Relicnews ...

I can give you a save just after entering the wastelands. I found it fairly easy. You can use iZakaroN's SaveEditor to adjust the skill / stat points to match your playing style and/or the level of your character.

I can also change the character name in my save to match yours, if you'd like. LMK
