Hi again all,

Is this normal? UI tried for the first time to get cool stats on a Dragon Armor. So I did the save before handing it over. I wait till the thing is ready. I get the armor. I like the stats. I get some alright resistances and Burning Wall +1, Restoration +1 and Survivers Instinct +1.

I forget to save.

I reload and try a couple of times but it is either a low armor like 190 plus the moderate bonusses, sometimes no skill added and sometimes things I really don't want to invest in. Sometimes I get 2 and sometimes 3 charm options. The more the better.

So I think lost the cool one? No! I am ready to ring the bell at the Council hall so i figure having read that that could be the end of all these areas...I sell all my loot. Quite the haul. I sell it to anyone who has some money left. Thank the Divine One I find Blake willingly selling me 2 books of magic! Then I talk to the smith again. I browse his items and see the first Dragon Armor there plus the heart! Expensive but affordable. I have stacks of 50.000's!

I wonder if I can make another one?

Btw, why does the King say to talk to the smith after I get the helmet of the Dragon armor? The smith doesn't have any speech option as to...do whatever...

Vaipen, this is a bug.
After Grisha gives you the new armor he keeps the old one in his inventory. You can buy the "original" Dragonarmor and the hart, but you can´t do the ritual a second time.

Yeah I thought the same thing when I first played the game, but found out that the original Dragon Armor Is actually better than what He gives you for all that waiting.. So I bought the Orignal back and used that Instead..

Yes, I like the first armor better as well.

I have trouble deciding though if i should sell the new one. I alos have the larian Armor. I think that one is even better. but I have to make a choice between an armor with some extra skills or go for the thicker plating and some very nice stats and resistances.

Half this game I walk around encumbered. I have trouble deciding what to keep.

In your opinion, is less thick plating, say 190 and good stats plus 2 skillpoints better than one with armor 290 also good stats and no skills?

Would you use those two extra skill bonuses a lot? If they are mage skills, you may be able to buy spell books to boost the levels, rather than wear weaker armour.
How is your agility/defense? Not being hit as often will lessen the consequences of weaker armour.
Depending on the stat bonuses, I would be inclined to take the 290 armour as a warrior; for a mage or archer who doesn't do a lot of melee the 190 armour would be fine. Try wearing the 190 armour for a few fights, and see if you have to start using more restoration potions.

That is an idea but the way i play I never look too much into those details. I play quite chaotic. I never really look at how much damage I do. I only look at if I kill an enemy easier with a bow or a sword. yes so I look at the min/max damage stats etc. But ...

I also use the stores buying price. Is the price of an item related to its strength? That is, is there a formula to calculate what a store pays for an item?

"Is the price of an item related to its strength?"

In general, yes. However what value merchants place on certain attributes can differ from your own, and the price of some items can seem out of whack (some items with poor stats can be very valuable, and some powerful items can be worth less than clearly inferior items).
