My solution was much the same as Cleglaw's. I "acquired" empty chests and barrels and set them up in a nice clear area in Aleroth. Then I placed one teleporter next to them, so that at any point I could teleport back and stash extra equipment, or remove some to sell to a vendor, for instance in Arc Magicana or Verdistis. It also provided a nice logical place to rest, get healed, and stash equipment that I don't want to sell but will use later. Better than just dropping the stuff on the ground with no organization.

You can make a MONSTER profit doing this and there's no sense in throwing away free money, eh?. As pointed out, George's store will yield several nice empty chests/barrels you can use (he certainly won't mind, after you find him mysteriously murdered). Either move in or pick another "home base" that suits you.

Oh, quick thing. I recommend using chests instead of barrels when possible, because they can't be destroyed. I can't name the number of times I accidentally clicked on a barrel to open it, only to have my character break it open with his sword because I forgot to holster his weapon.

HULK SMASH! Well, warriors never were known for their intelligence.

"You do realize you're evil, right?"

"Nah, I'm just in tune with my inner jack-booted Fascist."
