Does anyone know the system requirements and or reccomendations to play Beyond Divinity? I've been looking at their peek of the week at IGN periodically and the game looks to have superior graphics to Divine Divinity, and there were points in which Divine Divinity ran slow for me when a decent amount of characters were on the screen. I have a weak GeForce MX400 64MB graphics card. I am worried my 1.8ghz P4 processor / 512MB of PC133 ram may not be able to handle it. I guess with this game i'll have to just vamp up my computer with a newer graphics card.

Welcome I4NI! (Like the nick, by the way!)

Bloody hell! Could you get any closer to my system?

I doubt you'll have a problem. Only the characters are 3D. The landscape is 2D. There might be issues with DirectX 9.

The requirements probably haven't been set because they haven't finalised the game yet.

Thanks. Games on the PC are getting pretty high requirements now. I see a lot that require a P4 1.0GHz, which is much higher than the 400 - 600MHz games used to be about a year and a half ago. Thats the only thing that gets me a bit nervous about PC games is buying one that doesn't run too well, thats why I typically buy console games, but really have to refer to my PC for extensive RPG gameplay. Neverwinter Nights for example, is a game that has relatively low requirements, but runs only so so on my computer. Divine Divinity was too good though not to get a game from the same developer that takes place in the Divinity world. Thats why I'd put up probably $250 - $350 just to play this one. Probably one of my top two most anticipated games of the year.

Wow...I sure hope Beyond Divinity will run on my antique computer. Divine Divinity ran just fine.

Here are my sys specs...anyone care to guess if I'll still be able to eek by on this game too? I can't even come close to affording a new computer.

I think the reason it ran so far is that my graphics card and RAM are more than they needed to be, so...the processor speed didn't matter QUITE as much. Nonetheless...DD ran just great.

Here's what I'm dealing with:

366 Celeron
192 Mb RAM
ATI Radeon 7000 (32Mb graphics)
40G hard drive
DirectX 8.1 presently (will upgrade to 9.0 of course)

Anything else you'd need on the specs to estimate if I'll be able to play it? (I have all of my crossable body parts crossed...fingers, toes, arms, legs....I can't imagine having to miss ANYTHING that Larian puts out, but especially anything about Divinity.)

I think will run at your Computer. But don´t expect it to run super smoothe. However as is not completely finished yet (as far as I know) there could be changes in system requirements.

I'd be a little concerned with the CPU. It still needs to be fast enough to transfer data to the other devices, regardless of how much extra load they can handle. But you really can't tell until you try. Until I could afford otherwise, I was very used to playing games on underpowered machines.

Does any one know how much diskspace it takes to install. I think my 2Gb is a bit small if I still want a smooth operating system.

Last I heard, it was one CD, so it can't be more than 700Mb.

It's one cd. Wow big improvements. Just hope they don't use a high compression factor. Ohh what the hell, it's been a long time since I formatted my disk anyway.
