In we could use chests, cabinets, vases, barrels etc to store things in.
I personally have so much stuff that I cannot even see what I have anymore. In What I thought would be really cool was if we could have sword racks for the walls, hat racks for our helmets and armor stands. Where all you would have to do is mouse over to see what is there. These could either be bought or stolen... Also I think this would add a very nice astetic for us interior designers. To have these racks from floor to ceiling, Not to mention movable bookcases, tables, and to be able to sweep the cobwebs off the walls. Even heros have alergies!

Hmm .. well i usually camped out at the magicana portal and borrowed 2 hay bales from the market and 1 vat/keg/barrel from geoff the smith and had them all near the portal together with a pyramid so I just scoot back and forth and had plenty of storage

As another example, in 1 chest I have all grey title weapons. There are over 100 in there. In another I have green. In another I have blue. In another yellow. Yet others that have the whites new, nice, exceptional. Then in yet more chests I have amulets, rings all seperated by color. At this point I am getting ready to seperate them yet again by stats. Armor/anything less than 200 def goes. Everything right along those lines. There are probebly over a thousand pieces altogether.I have sold alot already though. I will come back with a total count. Curious now...
Okay, I counted the contents of chests, bookcases, vases and wardrobes. This count does not include what Lynx is carrying in his inventory or all the booze and food and things I have placed on tables. Remember I sold alot of stuff too,
mostly new, nice and exceptional items.
The count is 1891 items! Now wouldn't it be nice to have all this nifty stuff displayed?

For the home improvements, I like the idea of racks and such. I think making too much stuff movable will cause problems though. Perhaps have a merchant sell just movable furniture and leave the rest of the furniture in the game stationary. And with the racks, you could keep then in a secret room behind the bookcase like you see in secret agent or hit-man movies.

On storage, I stored everything in two chests. Stuff worth keeping and stuff to be sold. The stuff worth keeping chest was very well laid out. The stuf to be sold chest had everything overlapping, but neatly. I found that if you place things starting in the lower right corner of the chest, they can overlap. I had a stack of armour, a stack of boots, stacks of gloves, amulets, rings, kite shields, round shields, leggings, lock picks, helmets, long weapons, axes, daggers, vertical weapons, horizontal weapons (just the way they're presented), bows, crossbows, and I'm sure there were more. It turned out very neat, and when it came time to sell stuff, I just clicked repeatedly on a stack to pick it up and sold it until Geoff had no more money. Easy!

I like the idea of a secret room. Very cool. What about the weapons that your hero faught so valiantly with and has since replaced with better? I would like to keep those items as keepsakes. Trophys if you will. Up on the walls as displays...I guess I am a pac-rat!

What about being able to open a rift to your own personal pocket of reality at will? Kinda like BG2 exp. You could store stuff there and have easy access.

Bags of Holding. That would be useful! With the ease of the Teleporter Stones, weight restrictions mean almost nothing as it is.

Hello there friends!
The idea of the secret room or personal rift is cool thinking! I also like the weightless bag of holding, although that may be a bit cluttered after awhile. I was thinking more on the lines of showing off your stuff! You fight long and hard for that bounty! Why not show it off? In Divinity I wish I could use those counters for my own personal display. Say put my best sword there after all the blood has been cleaned off. Or how about a closet where you can actually hang your armor and choose the color of the day? A hatrack for your helms and hats?
Thats what I mean.
I also like the idea of venders selling you furniture. Chairs, tables closets, etc....

As long as you get armed guards to prevent others from reaquiring their loot.
