1) Exactly! That is what I meant.
2) You got my point
That is aproximately what I meant. Actually it is exactly what I meant They are very special classes. Costs may include dangerous quests u know They would be testing u, the guilds, to see if u r truly worthy. Others will just be in it for the cash...depends what u wanna be. If u want to be a dark evil wizard lord, then it might involve some soul sacrifice as well (urs or of others). See where I am getting?
3) True, true. Will power would be seperate, maybe a skill (nah...trait I would say- traits and skills should be seperate, something like feats and skills in D&D) perhaps. What u refer to additionally is alignment, but that is something u develop along the game, regardless of ethics. U could be good, but have awful judgement. Heart's in the right place, that kind of thing.
4) yep, see the image Yes, they would be a fine weapon. They exert a lot of pressure, as they are very pointy, and steel ones would be very durable indeed, so they are suitable as kicking weapons. One of my faves too!, DK 2 that is.
5)No, what I mean is that the energy flows so easily through mages, like water flows down a river. They can use it on volition, higher levels, as a ranged attack. Think of how an archmage shoots fireballs in WC3. Thats kind of what they are. No other game, but Warlords Battlecry 2, implements it, so I thought it would be cool in a rplaying game. They would do 10-12 damage in the start. A skill branch could exist to power them up later, and they are gained at level 5. They would be average speed and low range in the begining, but eventually become a respectable weapon for spellcasters. Basically only resistances would be able of blocking them. That, and the odd missing bad shot
6) It means every point u buy after a certain number costs more, and u dont gain points per level...only upon creation and with tomes....stupid stupid system.....its not imperative, though most Dungeon Masters use it. Icewind Dale 2 doesnt, thank God. There are other D&D point systems, where u get a set number of points upon creation and one every few levels....Its the DM's pick
If the DM is a prick, well, ditch him/her! In games though u have little choice.....now in most D&D CRPGs they plan on including multiple systems, so its ur pick Mainly in the D&D MMORPG I believe.
