Exactly, Elliot and criticism does not necessarily have to end at the feet of the critics. Toni Morrison has some of her own published works in her library that have been edited by her own hand. Most authors can't let their babies stand on their own two feet. It's so tempting to go back and rewrite, tweak, detract and add. It's our busy Monday morning quarterback barking 'could'ves' and 'should'ves' that seems to awaken the itch of insecurity.
