When asked face-to-face, they'd tell you, "Oh, but I didn't mean her!" Some of them would actually fool themselves into believing that they are riding moral high-horse, too.
I agree <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> - a stupid game, hm? On the other hand, quite an entertaining game for some, to structure pseudo-conversation. But it tends to get boring after some while - at least for me. I think, if more people would be aware of this seesaw game they are playing (one up, one down) - others would not need to use these instruments to display it. (Eric Berne: Games people play) => quite entertaining.
