To be fair dad does have ohhhhh over 30 years more experience than me at writing fiction, so it wouldn't really be a fair comparison in the least. And Elliot Kane, I have to admit the 'not good enough for the daughter of TP' suggestion in your post does hurt and that's something a lot deeper to just growing a skin to protect yourself from getting too bothered by criticisms. It's something that most writers don't have to deal with.
