What I meant by changing it was, finding out that I don't like DD2 because it's nothing like DD which I like (if that makes sense). DD is the game that Diablo 2 should have been (if I can say that in here ) I wouldn't like to see DD2 go down this route.

I know. I was just in a cheeky mood yesterday. Some changes are needed. Divine Divinity had a lot of gameplay flaws. But a lot of the basics will remain the same. Sequals also offer the chance to add all the options that they didn't have time for in the first one.

And as for the copy pro' I don't have a problem with them checking my discs, providing they do it when I'm installing the game, and not playing it. The cut-scenes should also be on the HDD; drive space is not a problem nowadays.

Cut scenes on the hard-drive should definately should be an option! As with copy protection, (this is my personal preference) it should be on game start. If you just have it on installation, what stops you from going over to a dozen mate's places, and installing it. Now there's twelve copies around for the price of one. And on that, what's stopping one of those twelve from doing a direct hard-disc to hard-disc copy? All you need is the regestry keys and you're set.

Not needing the disk is certainly a convenience, but in this unfortunate day and age, piracy is too prominent. Also, I generally only play one or two games at a time, so I rarely need to change discs (but that's me), and I keep the cases close at hand, just in case.
