hey,I'm new to this forum. If I posted this in the wrong place, feel free to tell me so ;-)

I recently got Divine Divinity, but after a little while I got stuck.
I have entered Stormfist Castle and exited it, and there I got caught and put in an underground prison.
I did get out of the prison and found my stuff back, but now I just can't get out of there!
I have searched in walkthroughs and found that the exit is west, but the enemies are way too hard for me.
I'm only level 9, and I also read that I should have waited to enter the castle until level 25, but well, it's too late now is it?

I've tried to run west like a thousand times (ok,or a little less *g*) but I just can't get out! I get killed very soon every time.

Can anybody help me?
Are there any cheats for the game? It would be handy if I could use a cheat for healing potions for example, just to get out of there.

thanks!

Hi illias!!!Welcome to forum!

There is cople of cheats. If you have a potion you can doble it.there will be not 1 potion but 2.and if you doble it one more time there will be a 4 potion.

You must quicksave the game and then you must take potion and dont drop the item on the ground.hold on the left botten.pull mouse on that place were you cant place the item(potion).on that item will a red cross but dont drop it hold on the butten and then quickload.

Sorry i explaned to you hard but i dont know how to explane other way!!!

You are far too early in Ionas Dungeon. You should have lvel25 to 35 at this stage of the game, not level 9. You will have absolutely no chance to fight these monsters.

Do you have a shadow potion with you? If yes drink it and run....

Of course you could cheat by making yourself stronger or giving yourself better items, but this does not make the game more fun. You would be too strong later in the gane and experiencing less gameplay.

If you don´t have a shadow potion with you, you could ask Barnabus if he cares to correct your problem. Iknow that he helped a gamer out who had exactely the same problem as you have.

Well, nothing in the game made clear to me that a very difficult part was ahead of me...
I have blown up the orc's supply and poisoned their well. That was a little bit hard, but fair enough.
So I was glad I got an invitation for the castle and went there.
Normally I save BEFORE entering a hard part, but the missions were so easy that I didn't expect a hard part coming up, so I saved it over the version outside of the castle. Not thinking I might need it anymore.

But anyway...
I don't think I have a shadow potion (game is installed on another pc, don't have access to it for a few days), but I'll check when I'm able to.
And otherwise I'll try the potion-copy thing.

I don't want to make my char stronger if it's permanent, indeed it would take away the fun. But temporarily strength would be handy now :hihi:

I could start over of course, but my first char was a mage and I left Aleroth at level 1 (didn't go into the dungeons there) and had to flee from orcs and all. I reached the ars magicana, but I checked out some sites on Divine Divinity and realized I had missed LOADS.
So I started over with a warrior and only left at level 7 or something. Big difference :hihi:
But now I don't feel like starting over AGAIN especially since it takes so long to walk somewhere...

There's one thing I don't understand though, how could this Barnabus you talk off help me?

Ai,I forgot to ask:
Could a frog statue help me out here? Or will they kill me anyway?
I asked in the dutch forum if you get killed while being a frog, and I got an answer that certain enemies kill you and others don't.
So would the enemies in the dungeon kill me?
(like i said: can't test it atm, so i could as well ask it ;-))

A frog statuette would greatly help, since you can run much faster as a frog (enemies may still be hostile, but will have much less chance of attacking you). Pause the game when you stop running to look for doors or levers, etc. IIRC there is at least one door you need to open to get to the exit.

There are health and mana shrines you can use repeatedly. Do you have a bow or ranged magic attacks? Hit and run tactics might help when you can not just run past an area. Areana went through Iona's dungeon at about the same level as you, or maybe a bit less, trying for the lowest possible character level finish.

If you washed the dishes in the castle, the cook would have given you a strange spice bottle, which is actually a shadow potion.

There is an easier method to duplicate items which can be stacked;
Drag a stack out of (or into) your inventory (or container) and hold down the control key before dropping. This will bring up the split stack pane; type in a negative number and hit enter (the checkmark will be greyed out). This can also be done in the trade window.

OK, here we go!

You are right there is no warning that these quests are more difficult then the ones before...
On the other hand there are as far as I know very few people who indeed played the games like you.

Barnabus played a charcter with also bout level9 out of Ionas Dungeon without Shadow potion and cheating. God knows how he did it, I do not...

So you could write him to do the same.

Or *cheating mode on* check out iZakaron´s save editor to edit your stats and/or use Dad´s item editor to give yurself better items. (just croll down on Kiya´s site to get to the item editor.

I'd recommend trying the "Pedestsals Teleport" labelled on Raze's map. Click each Ancient Pyramid (monsters will be summoned each time) and click on the Teleport Pad. This will take to to the dungeon exit. It might not be the easiest, I don't know, but it's worth a shot.

Did you miss a door, or something, and are not as far west as you can get?

I had to pull a lever to open a closed gate, that's why I didn't get further as a frog ;-)
So I'm out now! yay!
thanks for the help all you guys!
And I'll make sure to go back to Iona's Dungeons for xp-hunting later ;-)
