BTW, re the "Pan-Wendy" theorem, I believe that the same relationship was mirrored (excuse the pun, kiya) between Captain Cook and the crocodile, sans the "youthful" outlook. And, in their case, one of the personalities literally devoured the other one, then moved on without a further care. And, since I am more of the age of Cook than I am of Pan, I guess the "clock is ticking" toward my eventual demise. To carry the analogy a bit further (if, indeed, Cook is a time-hardened Pan), then Cooks rage against Pan is symbolic of self-hatred for youthful mistakes or jealousy of the "good old days" of a misspent youth.
