Ok, one last try to go on-topic.

To add a Larian avatar in your profile, copy the link next to one of your favorite avatars listed on the Larian website. Then go to “My Home” displayed in the bar at the top of the forum. In “Main Configuration” – click on "Edit" next to “Personal information, email, password, etc.” Scrol down, and paste this link into the blank field of “URL to your picture”.


To add your own avatar, you need to upload the picture to your own server. If you don't have own server space, you might wanna have a look in free web host with hotlinking? (for avatars).

I been thinking about this for awhile... I mean, I actually kinda expected it already when you put the page up.

@Lynn I also PM'd you a link to the html with this code, but thought I'd post it here also. If you make a link next to the Picture field targeting _blank so it'll be a new window <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> then you can have radio button next to the pictures and put "window.opener.document.forms[0].Picture.value = this.value" in their on click event. The value of radio button then would be the url. You could also just have them click on picture and close window instead if you want. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> When you're ready to do this and if you have any trouble let me know.

@Lynn Ok maybe I'm just bored today but I dloaded your avatars page and converted it for you <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> A link to it is on the url I PM'd you now all you have to do is figure out how to get a popup link on that page near the picture field. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

There were just some errors left when trying to display the page. Not on all PC's, so trying to figure out what went wrong.

Well, I didn't do much about it, except looking for 2 days on how to do it... It's not that simple. And I don't have any idea how to code in php.
Phalzyr wrote me the javascript to perform the avatar-buttons, and rat is taking care of implementing this into the php code. This worked perfectly on my machine, but when trying it out on somebody else's machine (with the same explorer and settings), the page gave an error. So, now we have to look how to solve this. It's probably not that difficult, but we have a lot of other work as well <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> We will get it working.
