I guess you didn´t finish everything in the cursed abbey. Did you talk to the engineer? If no, go and try to find him in the cursed abbey.

Concerning your stamina problem: You picked up a cursed halberd. This wepon drains your stamina. Throw away or sell... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

and when your going to find the engineer make sure you have some money on you, or have some potions in your inventory
