Unfortunately one of Divinity's Drawbacks was the fact that all of the really powerful weapons late in the game are swords. I mean look at it this way Slasher (the axe you find for SMiruk) is arguably one of the best axes in the game while the sword of the Gods found in the wastelands can be unbelieveable
