Hello. I think that if you have flags on the mini map, so its easier to find things instead of always opening your auto-map I think that would be easy....What do you think...?

That's a good idea! The mini-map flags should reflect those on the main map. And (this might be going overboard), what if you could select a flag on the main-map and an arrow appeared on the mini-map to point you in the right direction?

thats even better than my idea...you could use the arrow to point the way to your latest quest...i hope one of the creators use this suggestion cos' it will save loads of time...

Nothing new about that, Jolly one. Infinity Engine® based games had the flags/marks and I guess older games too.

I'd rather to have the flags on the full map, translated into dots on minimap: small white or red dots. Morrowind had a good minimap, it showed those yellow squares on both map and minimap.

Don't know about flags appearing on the minimap but I sure would appreciate being able to resize the map (smaller). I can't count the number of times that I got killed in Divine Divinity while attempting to flee in the screen direction where the minimap had "landed" or trying to target enemies approaching from the screen location of the minimap. On my 21" monitor at 640 by 480 resolution, the minimap takes up nearly 1/5 of the play area.

Can you not play at a higher resolution? You can move the mini map partially off-screen. The menu bar can be minimized to three lines (for health, mana and stamina) by right clicking on it, and restored by right clicking on the lines.

800 x 600 leaves ~1.5" of blank screen around the game space and a considerably smaller image overall. Have never been able to use 1024 x 768 without the game crashing.

this sounds the best to me. I would not want the mini map covered in flags.

For me too. Imagine a minimap full of flags.... I keep notes to every place I go... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
