Are you sure you actually got the bonus? The strength bonus is included in the stats pane damage range, but not applied to ranged attacks. I gave myself a large strength bonus in a temporary save using
iZakaroN's SaveEditor (or from
Kiya's site, with description) to check this awhile ago.
