Great!

As soon as he gets back, he can get to work on these ancient,
and somewhat extinct language scrolls of Pharaonic Egypt's written records, that date back to 3000 BC,....

and i would like a full report on this thread in the morning!

I have a feeling that by the time DAD makes it back here we will be privy to the entire history of Egypt. Including how and when the pyramids were built. All of this in one grand post! How could we expect anything less from the professor? I think moving there would be both scary and exciting at the same time. Truly it will be interesting to hear his thoughts. I.E. Outsider looking in.

Well gang...I just finished DD and have some comments...

Finally!

it only took 2 yrs...half of which i spent
enjoying my stay here at the forum...

Jurak! I know this note is late but congrats on finishing the game! I'm looking forward to Well, I'm more than looking forward to it -- I wish it was here, now, loaded on my computer. *sigh* Oh well, I can wait another month. I'm on my second round through Divine Divinity and I can't believe how much I missed my first time through. There are quests I never completed AND even worse, never started. It's good that you took the time to enjoy the whole game.

And I'm enjoying the forums, too. There are a lot of knowledgeable people in these hallowed halls. I've only read a few of DAD's posts and found them extremely insightful. I hope he resurfaces one of these days. Although I know what it's like to relocate and it's a task I do not enjoy. I'm sure he's got his hands full of paperwork and boxes.

Well, back to work (*whispers* 'Psst: it's Saturday, Faralas' *groans* 'Tell that to her editor!') (LOL - just kidding. My editor's great. I actually *want* to work).

I just finished DD tonight myself and definitly think it's worth a replay ,if only to finish the one quest I didn't do which was finding Apollo's friend Shrimpo .

Congrats to you, DedEye! I didn't finish the Shrimpo quest on my first time through the game. I'm determined to finish it this time though.

On another note I think part of the reason this forum is so friendly is that there apear to be quite a few female members so the guys have to mind their manners ') which they don't on the more male game orientated forums which usualy degenerate into flamewars .

Male/Female - friendliness comes in both genders. Unfortunately, so does a lack of respect. And that's one of the reasons I think some forums degenerate into flamewars. If you don't have self-respect to begin with, how can you possibly respect someone else? And that's what I have found here - a lot of respect. We are most fortunate! And, DedEye's observation may have some validity. I don't know. (I'm 100% female - LOL). But I like that it opened up a source of discussion. It's helped me get to know you all a bit more and you've all gained my respect. *g*

& i wish kiya's back as well.

She's just taking some time off. She's got other things to worry about right now. Don't worry. She's bound to be back when Beyond Divinity is released!

Actually, I wouldn't bet on that. See Kiya's last post in the Get a life topic. She is still following the announcements forum for interviews and new screenshots for GoldyLocks' web site (she is hosting the pictures), but does not intend to return.
