Or Import ? Here in Germany it's still sold - although not in great quantities.

I think I'll take care of this problem when I've finnished BD, and requires a new RPG (import? How?).

For the moment I am downloading the demo which is kind of a drac takeing that my download pace just gets slower. And slower. And slower... Down in 138b kB/sek, was up in 190 at the start. Think I have yet faster downloadpace normally, but don't know since I don't download much (big stuff. The demo is on 142 mB). It has been 10 minutes left for five minutes. I hope it will share some light to the game itself so I'll know a little about how the game works out (will I stand it?). Still not looking into where I can buy it. The carractersystem looks NICE .

Übereil (downloadpace is going up again )

Maybe you all can help me with Wizardry 8.

I’ve owned it for almost two years now, but for the life of me I can’t seem to figure out how to cast spells.

I’ve printed out and read the pdf manual over and over, but I must be missing something.

Any help, I’d sure appreciate it.

I would if I could... Maybe you know the name of a store in Sweden where they sell it . Then you could tell me what store it is, and I'll go buy it and then when I know how to cast spells I tell you . I tried the demo shortly and had no problems casting spells... You might have problems in the fact that you cast it in several steps... Or do you know how to find it at all?

I think I'm missing a step in casting my spells.
For the life of me I can never get them to cast.

Oh, I can swing a sword and use a sling just fine, but cast a spell...
Noooooooooooooooooo poor ole' Kyra can't do that.

I wish I could give you the steps I've tried, but I'm at work right now.

Thank you Übereil for trying to hook me up.

but on the other hand, isn't that private persons? In that case the company itself won't earn on me buying it, so in that case I can just as well download it. The only reason I can think of to do that is because of bad consious (and when I get bad consious I get bad consious, if you know what I mean).

Hello, Can someone with alot of char making experiance help em out please!!! I've been playing Wizadry 8 for almost 2 weeks. I started with a Fighter, Lord , Rouge, Priest, Valkerie and Bishop. I was able to go thorough almost anything with that team, but the bishop left me unhappy......and I wanted a bard. So I restarted with a Fighter, Lord, Bard, Priest, Valkerie and Pshyic. I have alot of questions. Which class you think is the Best Fighter Class....(considering possible weapons and armor to equip) Is the Lord's 2 Hand skill really that good in the end? or should I go with a Samuri....or Ninja?......I haven't tried them yet. And what stats are the most important to each classs? Is it best to even all attributes out? What determins the characthers attacks and swings per weapon? Is it the skill in the weapon or the chars speed?

I haven't played Wizardy but from what I've heard the most important is to have carracters you are comptibull with. If you think samurais is cooler (or better or what ever) than normal fighters, go for a samurai (I think they're supposed to be good btw). Why not have both a fighter and a samurai? Try things out, experiment. That's the best whay to learn (but some beginners tips in the beginning helps out, I tell you. Wut since the Wizardy carracter system is supposed to be good too much help might not be the smartest thing, since you then will loose a lot of qualitytime experimenting (like mee and Arcanum. I must have made like 200 serious charracters and finnished it once (with a mage if you wonder)...)).

PS My help might not have been much but it's better than nothing I hope. And you will get better help sooner or later on anyway. I hope you'll enjoy the game btw (even though I know nothing about it) DS

Personally because of their weopons/instraments i would advise you have a Bard and most definately a Gadgeteer.

You could do with someone who can heal you all a Priest or a Bishop etc, and one Long Range Specialist - Ranger or a Ninja, and someone strong at the front like- Fighter, Lord, or Valkyrie.

@Kyra: When you are in a fight, click on the white sign beneath your character which shows which weapon he/she is using. You get a menu from which you can choose the character's next action. To choose a spell click on the book and you get a full menu of the character's spells. Choose a spell, its intensity and, if necessary, a target. The character will then say "Okay" or whatever and cast the spell when it's his/her turn.

Some spells may be cast when you are not fighting. Such as "Light", "Armor" etc. To do this activate the character and click the book. Then do as described above.

Hope this helps.

@Ubereil: The Valkyrie is very useful. But you can recruit one pretty early in the game and, as far as I know, she will stay with the group throughout the game (if you want her to).

A Rogue is useful but may also be recruited. He won't follow you everywhere though.

If I'd start the game all over I wouldn't go again without a Psionic (or someone who learns the Psionic spells).

My Dwarf Fighter is priceless. He's always in front, has the best armour and crushes everyone and everything The spell casters support him with "Guardian angel", "Heal" etc.

My Party works fine:

Fighter
Lord
Valkyrie
Rogue
Ranger (finds items!)
Mage

+ recruited Psionic and Valkyrie
