Hmm try changing the hot keys in the option panel, for instance I changed mine to the letter "Q" for quicksave, to used to using it in NWN

Further in your folder X:\Divine Divinity\Run\ where X is the letter of the drive that you use for the divinity installation, in Run you will find a file named "config.lcl" in this file there's a line "MaxQuickSaveAmount" ensure that this line ends in a number from 1 -6 as this is the amount of 'quicksaves' that you can use in rotation, ( This is a first as far as I know for an CRPG, to have more than 1 quicksave, thumbs up for DD) and also ensure that there's a blank line underneath I.E. as DD rquires you to have an "Enter" after the number" if nothing like this works I am afraid we will have to leave it to our "Game Guru" Raze, as he seems to have answers to most problems

add the folowing line to the bottom of the file, under languages

MaxQuickSaveAmount 6
after you paste this make sure that, you hit the "enter" Key, so that your cursor ends up under the Letter "M" from MaxQuickSaveAmount 6 and then close the file and save if it won't let you save right click on the file and under properties turn of the little white box that says "Read Only"

With the latest patch you should by default have 2 quicksaves. The '.tmp' extension means the quicksave did not finish saving properly for some reason. It might possibly be ok, but is likely missing some or most files. A new game should have 22 files, after going to either Verdistis or the Dark Forest it should have 27 and after going to both it should have 32.

Did you try re-assigning the hotkeys for quick save/load? If so, ctrl-c wasn't a typo.

Maybe a clean re-install would help? Zip or otherwise backup your saved games folder to another location first, just in case. Then un-install, re-boot, shut down all non essential programs (especially anti-virus), re-install the game. Maybe start the game and see if you can quick save(games saved under the 1.34 patch will not work in game version 1.29, but you can try in a new game). After this, re-boot, shut down all non essential programs, install the patch, re-boot, shut down all non essential programs, start the game. This procedure is a bit over-cautious, but the best way to avoid install problems.
