It might work with the Divinity Universe. It's really only a game-system so far, so you could adapt it to any story. There's melee and there's guns. There's psionics (magic) and there's mutants. There's cybernetics and hi-tech equipment. It's designed with six cross-classes in mind, but has a freeform (though requirement heavy) skill tree.
Classes:
[*]Covert Operative - explosives, acrobatics and cybernetics.
[*]Matrix - super agile and dual weapons.
[*]Marine - guns so big you can wear them, walk with them or drive them.
[*]Brute - cause fear and panic, throw big things, re-animate the dead...
[*]Transcendant - manipulate the elements and evolve your body.
[*]Commander - advanced weapon tactics and convice your enemies to join you.
Just a taste 'til I can upload it tonight... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Ahhh!
Blade 2: a guy with a silver sword
Rambo: A guy with a naked torso and a big gun
Rocky: Unarmed expert...
Seriously, though I like the idea, the "Matrix" class sounds unoriginal. Even Shadowrunner would've sounded better (sorry). Why not have a psionic class whose brain hemispheres were modified to work independantly so he can fire two weapons and dodge better... anything but the matrix: I had enough Matrix Lunchboxes, aniMatrixes, Matrix cell phones, Matrix figurines by Spawn.com, Matrix breakfast cereals and Matrix flame throwers (ok, maybe not the last two).
I like the rest of the classes. Commander should be able to persuade the enemy INTELLIGENT creature not to attack or join and be able to distract stupid creatures.
Brute shouldn't be able to speak words: only groan.
