I'm wondering is it possible to at the start of the game: 1. Venture out of the healer village. 2. Go to the house below cursed abbey for a nice portable bed and re-rolled charm ring. 3. Go to Verdistis and get a hold of the Dragon Belt in that house. 4. Go to some other places as lvl 1 or 2 (feel free to name some examples) to get some easy and free equips.
And also to get a frog statue for some 'stealth travel' purposes so as not to get attacked, preferably before 1 (and if so where?).

Welcome to the forum OrcsHaveFun
If you have a lot of shadow potions in your inventory, you can go anywhere without fighting.

Sounds like an interesting plan...Why not give it a try, and let us know how you make out?
And Barta's right: you'd probably want to have a good supply of shadow potions handy!

You can make a portable bed to carry from 2 straw bales.

I once found a spider statuette in George's back room, but have not seen a frog one before getting to Ars magicana (sold by Kistandalius). The quality of an item is somewhat dependent on your character level (the higher the level, the more likely stats will be in the upper range for that item), so getting the ring or dragon belt right away may result in them being of poor quality. In trying to finish at the lowest possible character level, Ariana re-loaded at about level 5 to try to get a holy sword with Frost, but failed. Waiting until level 9 or 10, she was able to get a good quality sword much easier. Finnigan's magic lockpicks would be handy early in the game, if you get to Verdistis.

I was under impression that item stats are randomly selected after I identify them and weren't char lvl dependent for the ranges of mods available. Big spanner in the works to my lvl 1-2 power levelling equips plan?

You can travel long distances quickly if you have explored an area. Try this: - Pause the game.
- Turn CAPS-LOCK on.
- Push the mouse to the edge of the screen so that it moves. Move it somewhere you want to go.
- Cast Wizard's Sight (Is that what it's called?) twice in the same place. This will make the area "explored".
- Drag one of your teleporter pyramids into this area. You need line of sight between here and your character (ie. if the castle is in the way, it won't work.) Try moving the mouse around a bit if you get a red cross.
- Before releasing the mouse button, unpause the game.
- Wait up to 20 seconds for the pyramid to land.
- Teleport with the other teleporter pyramid.
- Press CAPS-LOCK again to lock the camera to your character.
You need a good knowledge of the map for this to work, but it might be what you want.

But I can't use that teleporter trick at the very start unfortunately Btw does that mean the ring underneath the portable bed in the hatch, can be ignored till a high lvl and rerolled for amazing +100 +80 etc mods or will 15 res 15 res 60 life 5 charm slots probably be the best I can get? (I guess what I'm asking is, is there a limit to the lvl of mods or mods available on that ring, meaning waiting at all or waiting past a certain level will not make the ring better). Are there any good weapons I can get at the start too? And also another question Does Penetrating only apply to bows? I got myself a 197 Penetrating Lightning Reflex green or was it yellow bow, and when I saw the sword of gods screenshot, if Penetrating was on that sword...

I looted all the houses in Aleroth for equipment as best I could before opening the catacombs, so was able to get the second teleporter stone relatively quickly. A new training sword was the best weapon I found (in Lanilor's house, before triggering the second cut scene with him), though George has a bow in his shop that can come in handy, at least early in the game.

That's right. I'm not sure how much a low level effects the random stats (never experimented with getting the same thing at different levels), but after getting to a certain level, further increases are not going to help any. This is what I got for that ring, after completing the catacombs, clearing the area around Aleroth, and exploring some of Rivertown;
