I have finally been able to play this game on a friends computer (After owning it for more than two months, it would not work on my computer). Wow is all I can say. Revolution have gone for the 3d perspective in this game and it truly makes for a cinematic experience.
George and Nico, heroes of the pervious games, are once again drawn into a grand adventure featuring the Knights Templar. In this outing a faction of the Templars has discovered a way to use the ancient powers of the earth (Lay lines) to grant immortality. Unfortunatly the powers they are unleashing will destroy the earth and vast earthquakes and unpredictable weather patterns ensue.
George and Nico will travel the world, from the Congo to Egypt, in order to solve the quest and prevent armageddon.
The new 3d look to the game makes it truly cinematic, though its not without its problems. You have no control over the camera which means that wandering from scene to scene can completly reverse the controls, this can mean death in some situations. Also saving a game at a certain point doesnt mean that is where you will return too when you reload. Example: You have just sneaked past 10 guards, you save and quit because you have real life to deal with. Upon reload you find you are right back at the very beginning of the area and have to sneak past those 10 guards again.
Despite my complaints I loved this game, it has good characters and a good story.
In the credits, watch for our good friend Alrik Fasbauer!

I played the first two games years back and enjoyed them very much, i am sure i'll get around to this one but i'm busy with Lionheart at the mo',despite it being slated on these forums i am finding it passible.@ DATD the game engine has a fair bit of Fallout in it, traits, perks and the like, nowhere near as bad as mentioned on these forums.

Ah, my little secret has been discovered ! There was a "questionaire" in the profile of the forum members there and everyone who filled it in, it was said, would be mentioned in the credits. And since I like the series, I decided to do so. I haven't played it so far, because I can't afford it now. By the way, Revoliution has put up a kind of poll to enhance further games : http://www.revolution.co.uk/survey.php

Plus I don't like the idea of Lionheart's universe and finally, Black Isle has nothing to do with the game, despite the logo on the box. It's sad for Black Isle... I hope Interplay goes bankrupt.

The Sleeping Dragon is a very nice game. A bit too easy perhaps - but besides that and the camera angles sometimes, it's a pretty good game. I'm not very enthousiastic about most voice acting though, so I absolutely have no idea why every magazine keeps saying they're so great performances Oh well, there's more than enough good things about the game to make up for it

Actually, the voice acting wasnt so bad. If you want bad, play AquaNox. The voice acting is so utterly terrible, that with no option to turn it off, I cant even play it (I tried, but it made me want to vomit!)

Yes ? Aquanox was made in Germany ... it uses the Krass Engine , which was used (but heavily reworked) for Spellforce, too. (For 3D, of course. )

The graphics were great on Aquanox, Its a pity about the voices. The real shame was that I loved Archimedean Dynasty!

What I didn't like in Anox was the bloody co-pilot portraits. Brrr *shudders*.
