Back on topic, Yoshimo rules: as you progress through the fame, you realise how important are thieves and traps . Mmmh... I still think that devoting a slot to a single-classed thief is kind of a waste... Regardless how interesting Yoshimo is from a plot perspective.

I would disgree: Yoshimo is great at setting traps! Most game- monsters aren't protected from trap damage, like dragons.

Knowing the end of the Game, and having played it a zillion times, I just useYoshimo until I can get a better one, mainly myself or Imoen, since I always dual class anyway, eventhough it sounds ridiculous having a Paladin/Rogue

Hmm, i'd change him soon for Jan. The only thief/illusionist in the game. Imoen s*s as a thief imo.
Although it is fun to keep him the first time you play, just for the story

I'm starting a new BG2 game right now, so far my party will consist of three mod NPCs. Kiara (monk,) Zaiya (wild mage,) and Valen (fighter/thief.)
I am still trying to decide on who else to take as the other two NPCs. Until I figure that out, I haven't decided on my PC yet.
Normally, I always take Jaheira and Imoen, but I want to try some different NPCs I haven't played with much.
Any suggestions for who would be cool NPCs, either original or MOD?
Any suggestions for Jan or Minsc will not be taken seriously. If I wanted to be annoyed by endless chatter, I'd hang out with my coworkers. :P
The NPCs I've already played with are:
Korgan Keldorn Viconia Aerie Nalia Edwin

Theres one called Selafain or something like it. Its a mod char that will ingage in a romance no matter what char you play (male/female) or whete you have a romance or not . Can be quite funny.
Are yoy playing good or evil char?
You might want to try the other druid in the game in Trademeet (cant remeber his name now). Theres still Anomen, but his a bit of a winer. He gets "better" once he becomes a knight in the order. Also you can try ut the little female gnome fighter in the tainted temple for the ranger quest(forgot her name too). Remeber she acts more like a paladin then a fighter, but she has some nice things (like immune to fear 3 times a day). And then there is also the ranger (Valgar?, the one you need to enter the sphere). He is fun playing with imo.

Yeah, the whole "I'll romance anything and anyone" kinda turned me off of Soulafien.
[quote]Are yoy playing good or evil char? I'll probably play a good character simply for the rep bonus. Though I don't care much about alignment. If your fun and usefull and good at what you do, I'll add you to my party. Theres still Anomen, but his a bit of a winer. He gets "better" once he becomes a knight in the order. Haha. I played him once just to do his knighthood quest and then he blamed me for him failing his test as if I'm the one who told him to do that the the dude's daughter.

Personally I would like to use Viconia, cause she's a cleric and you need health back up also she's extremely funny, with her little quips about men

Yeah, I've played with Viconia three times though, including romancing her one time.

Never liked Viconia. The fact that she poke in a strange language irritated me. It's like they couldn't find any good oneliners, so they made some up in a strange language. Plus, I was a LG Paladin, and between her, Keldorn, Aerie and myself it would have made some problems...

@ MeaCulpa: Umm, yeah, a paladin/rogue does seem to be pressing the borders of logic a little

@ Stormy: Viconia IS a drow so that language IS her natural tongue

And you think I am gonna argue about a nutcase like that

No not really, but lets say you have to eat saurkraut everyday, while listening to your mum telling you how great it is how exciting toeat and look there are some peppercorns and that's the wurst etc. day in and day out for about 6 years, trust me you will hate saurkraut oh and in regards to your neighbour, ask him to play "I started a Joke"

What do you guys think of this party?
Kiara (monk) Zaiya (wild mage) Valen (fighter) Jaheira (fighter/druid) Imoen (thief, well once I edit her, she will be) Kelsey (sorcerer)
I know there's no PC in the group, but I don't need one, and I think it will be interesting to play with six NPCs instead if for no other reason than I can.

I'm just about to leave Athkla for the first time, and this is my party:
Me (monk)
Minsc (should I take Korgan instead?)
Anomen (I feel sorry for him)
Jaheira (she's annoying me, should I trade her for Viconia? I feel guilty when I try to make her leave)
Nalia (I might drop her for another thief after I finish her quest, although she seems like she might be somewhat useful)
Aeria (seems pretty useful)
Any suggestions?
