Well, my character is good in the sense that he doesn't steal, won't kill merchants on the road for money, and helps out those in need. He's not good in the way many of the other good NPC's seem to be - self righteous prunes. None of the "evil" characters seem that bad to me though...none complained that I had to rescue Imoen, none tried to convince me to hold Nalia for ransom (she probably would get me that 20,000 gold easy), none have betrayed me, and none have really disobeyed me...in fact, I am questioned more by the "good" characters. Korgan didn't even kill Anomen when Anomen insulted him. It's still early in the game though, maybe this will change, I don't know. I will say the "evil" people seem much more relaxed and fun, and willing to crack a smile now and then. The "good" people seem to be into patting themselves on the back and being depressed. Not very commendable traits, and I don't really trust them as much.

Heh, then I'll just choose like I would in real life, and choose whoever is a little nutty and willing to have fun. I mean, just because I'm a nice guy doesn't mean I can't have fun with evil people...and if I rejected anybody because I thought I was so much better than them, would I truly be good?

That's about what I'll do, though I'm gonna keep Anomen and drop Jaheira, and what 'till I find this Edwin before deciding if I'll drop Aerie...maybe she'll have pushed me too far by then, but as of now it's pretty fun to have her around (like taking someone sightseeing).

In case anyone's curious, this is my first time through (and I've never played the original).
