Well, as you might know (or not, it doesn't matter, I'm going to tell you anyway ) I (try to) play through Baldur's Gate 1 for the moment, and will later try to play through BG2. The thing is, I allready know what I'm goig to play in BG2 (a kensai, dualclassing to a mage dualwielding [nocando] swords and hammers, makeing the hammer a Crom Faeyr so I can start out with low strenght and still get 25 str in the end. BG1 might be a pain though...), and now I wonder how importing a character from BG1 works. Since I now consider replaying BG1 from scratch (with the purpouse of later importing my character to BG2 (with 19 in all the important stats )). My brother mentioned something about being able to make your BG1 fighter one of the kits when importing, but I'm allso curious about the skill system (if I have three in swords, do I get three in short, long, [nocando] and two handed, or do I have to separate these? And what about two wepond fighting? Do I get to pick skills all by myself?). So, to summon it up: can I make my BG1 gither one of the kits, and how does the skillsystem work (with the skills being wepondskill only).

PS What do you need wisdom for? Does it affect your saves? (wondering because I can have the stats I'm looking for IF I take wisdom down REALLY low. Looking for str:9 dex:18 con:18 int:18 (dual to wis remember?) wis:as high as possible, aiming at 10, which is a pain and cha:18 (main char and all)) DS
Edit: Managed to find wis of 8 with all the other mains being what I want them to be...
Second edit: Found 18 In all but str (9) and wis (10). This WILL do! Took two points in long swords and blunt weaponds.
And third edit (will wait for replys before editing again ): Just discovered a complication: I can barelly carry all my equipment ! I need gauntlets of strenght and I need them fast! A pity they're in Baldur's Gate, and that's like chapter five...
Fourt edit...: Oh, and you don't have any explanations to why I suddenlly swing my sword as if I didn't have two points in long swords? (And no, it's not a short sword, it's a shimitar...)
And fifth (and I don't dare to say last) edit: Update on the shimitarthing: It seems shimitar for some bugged reason isn't classified as a large sword, since I don't get the bonus I should get when I swing a large sword. I get it with a staff though. I'll steal Khalid's long sword...
