hmm well yeah it makes sense hey that a fighter has a particular Stat that's is his Prime same as a Paladin has CHA, as for the import business sure no prob you can Import just the character if you saved it, or import the character from a save game presuming you still have BG1 installed, quick question did you get the expansion Tales of the Sword Coast too? if not do get it, as some of the better items come into the game.
Going back to your import question, the majority of your Items will be imported , some (a very few) will not and be replaced with something else, these are generally not Important items though, so don't worry too much, and hey ..... enjoy the game you ARE suppose to you know <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
