While i was playing i discovered a BUG that can ruin the entire game!
Here is how to do it:Open Inventory -> Select e.x. Gold ->while having CTRL button pushed release the gold ON the ground -> It will ask you the amount you want to leave -> IF u put a NEGATIVE number e.x. -1 or -100000 it gives you AN EXTREME amount of gold!
This ALSO works with everything else that is not unique(meaning you have at least 2-e.x. potions, lockpicks, scorpion traps ect)
THIS IS STUPID/RUINER as it makes the player to cheat(Since there is such an EASY way to have everything he needs,he WILL sometimes use it...)!
THIS SHOULD BE FIXED IMMEDIATLY!!!Please! (I got Version 1.0034A -The latest)
Anybody elses found this? Try it and tell me if it works to you too!

Welcome to the forums, AfterStarX! This bug is very well known, and some members have had a lot of fun with it! See *Three Cool Tricks* , and if you search a bit, you will find other mentions.

Hey rincewind!Quick reply !
Well since The LARIANS knew about it WHY THEY DIDN'T FIX IT in version 1.0034? I BELIEVE ITS VERY EASY TO FIX!They just have to disable the -(minus) symbol in-game!
FIX FIX FIX..... And lot of the SKILLS are extremely USELESS!(Too bad =( ) ( an example True shot +2 Sight Range and Ranger Sight +1 LOL! ???...)
I really like this game, more than DiabloII but it needs more assistance/bug fixing!

I've found that bug handy if I want to test something in an old save, or need to get a screenshot at a certain location. Walking through a group of monsters with 100 restoration potions is much easier than re-playing 15 minutes cautiously to get somewhere. There is no harm in leaving it in, since you have a choice to use it or not, so it was probably not high on their to-do list.

I think the really major bugs, the game-stopping ones, have been fixed. There will be little buggy things in almost any game, I think.
Some of the more interesting bugs -- like the duplicating one --, I found out about on the forum... it just never occurred to me, during the game, to try anything like that! I've only played through twice now, and can say that I only came across minor glitches in normal gameplay... which indicates to me that it probably depends on gameplaying style whether one runs into serious "bugs" with any given game.
For me, well, I tend to agree with one of our forum members who commented: "Bugs are fun. You will never know when they will happen and it keeps you on your toes."
I hope you don't let the odd bug get you too frustrated, because is a blast! and we expect to be even better!!

Hi AfterStarX!
Yeah, there was an unfortunate number of bugs in Divine Divinity. Thankfully they'll be gone in Beyond Divinity. With the "negative" bug, there's always the option of not using it. It's pretty hard to do accidently. Or they could release it as a cheat. (Isn't that what big corporations do, release bugs as undocumented features. )
It definately would be nice to have another patch for Divine Divinity. But it will definately be after Beyond Divinity. They'll probably need the funding if they want to continue working on Divine Divinity.

Having "unlimited" potions, gold, traps and everything else is ruinning the game because its something like putting "GOD MODE" on! What's the alchemy skill use if u have unlimited potions? What's the point of picking up items and selling them trying to get some money if u have unlimited gold? What's the point of fighting if u can have 1000 scorpions wondering around and killing everything for you? I know that you have the choice to use this or not BUT....i still PREFER it gets fixed,so we cannot cheat!I don't feel right playing now that i know i can easily CHEAT! *BTW why does the resistances get above 100%(If you drink elixirs it does)? What's the point of getting above 100% since 100% means immunity! *A nice method for ORC camp to newbies like me:Is go to the Orc's camp(BOTTOM RIGHT OF THE MAP),get a bow,add 1-3 skill points to poison weapon and just hit 1-2 times ALL elite orcs and run, they will easily die and you get 10.000EXP for each LOL! *I believe using a bow is better than sword[you can HIT&RUN all the time] *Poison Weapons is extremely powerful, every living thing dies immediately! (*)=Off topic

I never had a problem not using cheats when playing the game. I even deliberately did not use some available features (like charms, except for one) or exploits (Frost on a weapon, scorpions, shadow potion + warrior's spin attack) to keep the game from getting too easy.
Resistances are not in percentage, though up around 100 or so does make you fairly immune.
A bow and hit-and-run tactics (also called kiting) is a widespread method in games for killing enemies much more powerful than yourself, and there are various methods to reduce this (faster enemy healing, better AI...). You can use this technique to kill Jake in Aleroth twice at the start of the game (the first time would bring you from level 1 to level 3, the second time to level 4).

AfterStarX, cheats are optional because some people like to use them, and others don't. If you or I use them, we get bored quickly. If Lews or gridlock use them, they have fun.
You have to option to cheat at solitare (when playing with real cards). Does that bother you? You can cheat a story and read the last page first. Does that bother you?
I agree that cheating in a game, or in life, where other people are involved is a bad idea. Everyone should play to the same rules. Battlenet has this problem. So do relationships. And taxation and social security. That's why there are stiff penalties for cheating here. But in your own world (ie. single player), it doesn't hurt anyone to cheat if you desire.

O.K.!I just play and make it doesn't exist...
Anyway i just found another annoying bug!
I got to the vampire's cave and gave my self in exchange for the boy! After the boy leaves the vampire appears behind me and starts attacking me,my character immediatly attacks him,so does my scorpion and he dies(the vampire)! I get the XP and reputation points but nothing else happens,i can't do anything, the game is just stuck there!
*Keep in mind that i had a bow with poison weapon skill on and one 100level scorpion *If i don't have the bow in my hands, then the scene continues normally *Vampire seems to have random resistances(One time i freezed him and easily kill him. When i tried a second time(Load) then the vampire was immune to freeze, still easy to kill )

Yeah. That one is annoying. I seem to remember a couple of other cases where the game would freeze or not allow saving. This time, Larian doesn't have the strict CDV deadline that Divine Divinity had. They've learned a lot from the first game and have extensive testing in Beyodn Divinity. It is a shame the first game was filled with bugs, but the next one should be better in all aspects!

I don't know about how it's figured here but I remember back in my RPG days, resistance was figured vs. a specific level caster so if a big bad cast a spell against you, your 100% resistance might only be 80% but if a wimp was casting it, your 80% might never fail. That might be the thinking here but I don't know.
