1. Shut down all programs running in the background.
2. Update the drivers of your sound card and video card -- yes, it bloody well matters. Don't be lazy.

3. Download the latest patch for the game. For obvious reasons.
[color:"orange"]Which is? There are several patches for NWN main and others for the expansion. There is also a critical rebuilt thing in one of the cds. I have installed that too. [/color]
4. Installation wizard should check your DirectX version. If your system hasn't gotten the version required, it should prompt you to install a newer version (which, yes, is included in the CD. Should be, anyway). Also try to install the latest version of DirectX manually.
With your system's specs, you shouldn't really have any problem unless you've also got HotU (which eats quite a bit more resource than the original and SoU).
Yes i thought so. It is a good system. I mean if I put a better video card the system is ok. You know I think I am doing something wrong.
Btw my new monitor had a program called Nature colours. I have installed that. Does that really matter?
