Well I always play as a sorc. but there is a difference between a Mage and Sorc which is that Mage can memorize any spell and Sorc can gain new spells only when she levels up. Not that it is no big deal but sometimes when I am in Battle my spells run off. So the advantage IMHO the mage has it that he has much more spells than a sorc. Sorc can use some spells from scrolls she finds but only for once and she can not memorize them. You should try the recomemded option while you build your char. It helps a lot. At least if you are not familiar with the D&D rules. You can check the official site of BG and NWN for some more information. I think BG is better though I think that it will spoil all the fun. You should try to descover things yourself. Building a char is not so difficult. Oh and I always am a Half Human-Elf. IMO is the best combination. You can also check the option of the familiar if the char you create has one. They are very helpfull and funny. You can feed them and replentish their health. My familiar is opening all the locks for me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
Yes the dialogues are boring sometimes. And as for the graphics I think that even if you install the expansion there are not any changes in the original campain.
