Guide to getting lots of points in Imprunner:

For survival:
Get to(or at least near) a big mushroom before the green doggies are close enough to make your life hell. Just before your big mushroom runs out you should get a new one. Pick up a bonus whenever you can. Unless you're almost done of course.

You can't really rely on all the bonuses the same way. I like God of Imps and Minelaying. With those you can just relax and pretend you have a big mushroom handy when you need it(safety wise) only it's a lot more fun than the mushroom <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Freestyle jump depends on the level. If there's one or two chokepoints like in the imp village levels it's good for jumping across to the big muhshroom. If you would have landed in a black spot the imp won't jump at all. MASH SPACE AT LEAST TWICE WHEN YOU'RE USING THIS TO GET AWAY.

Ice is hard to use. Don't wait to use it until you're desperate. By then you'll probably just make a nice green wall to keep you penned in until you die. It CAN help of course....but I've died trying to use this about as often as I've lived.

Speed - Always great. 99% of the time you should use it immediately. The doggies can't catch you and you'll probably get a great speed bonus.

Oh, and you can't get a new bonus while you hold the old one. The chests won't even appear. So if you really can't get any use out of one kind of bonus you should use it immediately to get rid of it.

Once you have survival down you can go for the big points...(probably going to lose the first place for saying this but oh well <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> ) The secret is to eat the doggies in a special way. If there's more than one mushroom on the level you can eat three doggies, wait until they respawn in their little house, then eat another mushroom WHILE THE LAST DOGGIE IS STILL RED. Repeat until you're out of
big mushrooms. You get 5/10/20/40/80/160/320/640/1280/2560/5120/10240/20480 points for doing this. So is it worth in on a particular level? depends on how many mushrooms there are. At the volcano there's a couple of levels with 4 mushrooms, so there you can get 38000+ for a single level. 4 mushroom levels are rare btw, and once you get to the higher levels the doggies are fast even when they're red. MAKE THE MOST OUT OF THE VOLCANO!
