Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Capt Ralph and Tinglaf

Hi everyone! Have a couple of questions. First, where in the world is Capt Ralph? It seems I've looked everywhere and can't find him. Read the searches and know the problems, but no one says where he's at. This is my third time playing this game and have never found him.

Second, When I go to Lt. Robbins and tell him about Tinglaf he kind of ignores me. He's already said he had no proof of his guilt. Went to cave and got the note, went in sewer and killed pedro, saw Marcus and he wants to know where his wares are. I'm confused now. I've seen the wares, opened a couple of chests. Also talked to Tinglaf and he won't tell me about sewer so now what?

You can find captain ralf to the south of stormfist castle. He's in the building there.

About Tingalf: have you told Markus that you found the goods? Or didn't you have that option? I told Markus, but didn't tell a guard. Then later,I accidently clicked on a guard there, and I had the option of telling about the stolen goods. So I told him, and to my surprise I got xp!

I'll try tell a guard and see what happens. I didn't have option of telling Marcus. Looked south of Stormfist before. Will look again. Thanks.

Did you talk to the guards guarding stormfist castle? Normally they tell you were captain Ralf is, and then they mark it on your map...so it should be easy to find that way.
Just go straight south from the castle,without following the road. It's between the castle and the kazerne (sowwy,don't remember the English word for kazerne, I hope it's similar)

about Tingalf: try going down the sewers again, wasn't there a scroll you needed to take or something? A scroll that would prove the goods were stolen by Tingalf? I'm not sure anymore...

as soon as you enter the sewerws some assains attack you. one of them is pedro. kill him, he drops a note. take it..........

Capt Ralph should be here. ... the building at the top of the pic is Stormfist Castle.

Not sure - but I think you need a note from the cave with the two assassins to have the option of telling Marcus. (And you must have killed those two assassins, otherwise you couldn't have killed Pedro.)

Okay, I found Capt. Ralph and had Dr. Elrath arrested. Went back into sewers, killed a lot, gained 3 levels but no scroll. Did have the note and killed the two assassins in the cave. Still have problem with Marcus and getting Tinglaf arrested though.

which sewer did you go in? you have to enter the one at the ars magicina(spelling). its in the middle of the market area by marcus and geoff. as soon as you go down into it head east. they will attack you. check their dead bodies. one of them drops a note.

There are two notes you need:

1) from the assassin cave

2) from next to Pedro in the Sewers

I did the wheel quest for a bunch of exp, but I didn't kill pedro because then you can no longer buy goods from Tinglaf. All you get is +1 identify from those merchants.

Tinglaf has scorpion traps, trail bombs and spider mines so you can get hundreds from him throughout the game. I only use trail bombs and spider mines because scorpion traps make hard difficulty a joke.

My game is bugged, so Tingalf won't actually get arrested anyway, so might as well get the quest done. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> For one thing I hate open quests, for another I don't actually use traps...

Yeah, I can't get him arrested either. Killed Pedro, got letter and Lt Robbin still won't talk to me so I've gone on.

In my cast, he went off (assumedly to arrest him) but Tingalf is still there. Go figure. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
