Real-time fight with steering one char, okay. But I have to admit I don't like the idea of having to pause the game every couple of instants to give commands...
I obviously have one char as primary char, the one I generate myself. Is it possible to actually only steer that one and giving all the others default-actions (like casting fireballs, attacking with sword, etc.) which they then will faithfully perform in every fight (until their mana is out, I change that default-action or similar)?

I know that. That's the game I was asking about.

In some previews/interviews I've read that you will at all times have at least two party members, your own char and the death knight you are soul-linked to. Plus maybe some others.

Now I want to know how realtime combat works with more than one character in a party...

Who knows? We'll have to wait and see. It has been done in other games such as Dungeon Siege for instance.

The question is not, Can they reason? nor, Can they talk? but, Can they suffer?

I believe there is some auto-combat in the game. How good are your RTS skills? You probably could play through it as the Divine Follower, with the Death Knight in tow, it'll just be a bit trickier.

Perhaps they need a dual mouse control?

I certainly hope there are elements of strategy in the combat. I also hope that these strategic elements involve more than party management; will there be special tactics or abilities to make use of as an individual character? That's be some incentive for a magic-addict to play a warrior for once.

RTS? Real Time Strategy? Eeeks! I'm abysmal at strategy and hate anything that needs strategy... - A bit of planning, like in Zanzarah where you have to take care what kind of fairy to pitch against a fairy of a particular element, that works. But anything more and I'm lost...

Perhaps a difficulty slider then, since there's no such thing as a 'boredom alleviation slider'?

I don't need a strategy game, but I want some tactics and skill involved.

Hello, Lira, do you know the official Zanzarah board at www.zanzarah.de ? There's an English section as well.

Lol. Yes, I know that forum - and have posted there. (Both in the German and English sections actually - though more in the English ones.)
