Another suggestion is Princess Mononoke. I really liked that movie. Grave of the fireflies is about that dude and his younger sister right? Sad movie..great music (so i've heard )
I really liked an anime japanese movie called in french "Le tombeau des lucioles".
I don't know the name in english.
Maybe it's the same movie than "Princess Mononoke".
