If you want freaky, try "In The Mouth of Madness". I reccomend a joint or two before you watch it.

Too true. Why did you go to see it anyway? Couldn't you see it would be utter, utter crap?

I didnt mind Shallow Hal, it was an interesting premise. It just never delivered the goods. Like a lot of hollywood ideas it had potential but just didnt reach its goals. I saw it for the same reason as faile, Jack Black is a funny guy. Just not in this. Download the Lord of The Rings send up instead. Its shorter and much funnier.

Cannibal Holocaust (1980) is pretty disturbing as well. Especially because all the animals that are killed are said to be authentical images, no fakes, no sfx - how sad is that eh...

Me too. He's done some 'stinkers' though.

Just move this movie to the top of my "best movies ever" list. Missed it in the theaters (it only ran 6 months ) But now i've got the dvd and I must say this is one of the best movies comming out of Belgium the last few years.

De Zaak Alzheimer

I realy like the "mossel scene" and the dialog on how to damege cars (without the insurrance paying it back)

Is theire any role Jan Declair doesn't nail to perfection (his role in Daens and Karakter are hollywood standard good).

Not in the mood for cheese?

Most aspects of the Alzheimer movie are very high quality - I just feel that the story isn't right for a movie. It feels like another typical Belgian cop series episode. Much better than the usual stuff we get to see of course... But not a movie

i saw an indonesian movie a week ago or so.....it was a horror.....the horror...it's awfull.....i hate that movie....it freaked me out....it's alot scarier then The Ring....watching the Ring after that movie would be laugh.....Oh well i believe the title was Jalanku....(the scariest ghosts are kids......why did it have to be a kid.....totally freaked me out...)

Is it scary-suspenseful (can't think of an example), scarey-ingenious (Ring), scary-gross (13 Ghosts), or scary-gory (Scream)?

since indonesian language is essentially malay (just different dialect), jalanku means my road/path/street. jalan can mean road or path or street. ku is a short form of aku, meaning me or my or i.

a little language study.

@ kabuti: in the mouth of madness, isn't that the work of the same director as blade 2, that del toro guy? he directed hellboy as well.

well i wouldn't know really...

jalanku was some kind of voodoo doll or something...the movie was about a group of people that explored places where there were ghost sitings and other such things...then they read about a place where a kid was sacrificed...it was somewhere in a forest and they go there..and 1 of the group take this jalanku with him without telling the rest about it..when they come there they find a grave so they camp nearby it..but nothing happens...so this guy plants this jalanku in the grave and said some kind of spell or something when the rest is asleep....but appearently nothing happened so the next day they return home...in the city..and then they get haunted by this kid...

pretty freaky..if you consider the distance...
