Here is the
patch. I don't know if it will help, but it couldn't hurt.
After installing the patch, try starting a new game, and see if the cut scenes leaving Joram's house, entering George's shop, or around Mardaneus' house cause any problems (if possible, get to a spot you know causes a problem in your current game). This can help narrow down where the problem is, and is described better in the
Troubleshooting Tips topic.
