maybe it may sound artificial as it seems (from the pix in the latest peek o' the week) to be recorded in a studio room & not a symphony hall (like howard shore did with lord of the rings soundtracks) therefore u may not get that big ambience & reverberations that are usually present in such big room.

furthermore, the recordings for each instrument may have been done separately so to match all of them in terms of timbre, timing, clarity, the mixing has to be done & u should know mixing is something a sound engineer has to learn for years before getting it right. so i think kirill has done quite a monumental task in getting the sounds together. it may not have that orchestral effect that john williams have done with star wars (think 'duel of the fates') but it's close. keep it up, kirill. one day u'll have your orchestra.

& i love that sampler. i wish all the music will be like that & without goth rock in it like how it was with a few tracks in

maybe ogg format may do it justice as ogg can expand to 5 audio channels? maybe violins can be less prominent so that other instruments can stand out & therefore making the piece fleshier. how about that?

i hope kirill can be in the forum & let us know of his work on after the game's out. alrik, how about an interview? more musically inclined?
