I only have one website and it's mostly one style of music, but sure check it out. I know my mixes aren't good, I had to send music off to a professional mastering studio for something. Anywayz the song I am trying to mix right now is for this sight and I will do a few others(actually five composed but it takes time to arrnage and produce the music). here ya go

no that's not even a quarter of the music I have composed or created that' only the Inuyasha fan site I have for that style of music. I write in all styles music, jpop, jazz, classical, whatever.
for instance I have this song I just did and five others I have to do
for that site, but I sit here trying to get the mix better...grrr....
I keep telling myself maybe I should get Sonar 3 upgrade so I can have better eq, obviously I don't have a clue about eq still...
as for sounds your music is as good as your samples and then your master is as good as your mix, basically the better samples and then the better your mix the better you sound If it sounds good it is good(so sayeth a famous audio engineer)

Woo yea you write Industrial music kick [nocando] we have to talk!! can I e-mail you!
you must be doing great mixes! Do you use Reason 2.5 or just a sequencer and sampler or keyboard?...Man we talk "socrates" you want to e-mail me!?
bach@visi.com
Socrates let's chat about music and production sounds and what not, I have done electronic music but not industrial, or I have but it's wacked out sheet^_*
Please e-mail me it would be way cool to talk about some industrial music(I have lot's to learn)

Yo! janggut
I dont' have any music on the web other then that Inuyasha fan site ...
Writing composition I write it on paper, if I need to record it I do the arranging in Sibelius(composition program) I do use sound fonts sometimes in Sibelius and even in Sonar.
Sometimes the instruments sound ok in Sonar and sometimes they don't. So...
if you need a soundfont for composition let me know. My connection is super slow though. There are many places on the web that have realist sounding instruments as soundfonts for free. you can find them all over the web.
I have published a book of piano sonatas but I didn't gain any fame or really much money on it LOL!!! still no one in the world has published piano sonatas like that in that style(Mozart's time and little bit after) in a long time. I refuse to let that style of music die.
I learned my lesson though. When mp3.com existed I had a classical site and I had other sites, not just the Inuyasha site I start composing music for in beginning of 2003, now it's 2004 and I guess I will do some more music for that site as I learn to mix better man I am rambling WHAHAHA

You don't happen to have any links for really good classic instrument samples? I've long given up on finding any good ones for free on the Net... (I do mean in a format like wav or mp3, not some typical Roland etc. format, or a Cakewalk etc. format (if those exist) - gotta cope with cheap software here -- for now anyways )

do a search on Google for Realistic Classical Samples or wave files
or do a search for Realistic soundfonts, it will give a lot of pages for free
classical sounding instruments in soundfont format.
here is a link that has some pretty good Soundfonts(get the voices)
http://www.papelmedia.de/sf2/sf2_uk_index.htm
Also check ebay! It is amazing how many sounds for next to nothing can be found on ebay. I have a cd with 6000 sounds, waves(have to go into Kontakt to make a lot of them the instruments but still...) Ebay is a cool place for samples.
Hope that helped!
I just upgraded to Sonar 3 hoping it helps me with my mixes.

I think you made your point Socretes. The name of the piece also reflects the feeling and visuals I got while listening to it. I imagined blood, explosions,shooting,rape-ing. All the vicious things this world has to offer.
IMHO, it is good for what it is. Yep. But, alas, I do not think I would want it in my personal collection. Keep going deeper ,and share some more!

My opinion's based on the fact that I prefer trance and electronica, so they may not be entirely relevant.

It sounded very good, but it lacked energy and depth. Whilst there were different instruments, they were all following the same pattern. There was no variation in the music. I think it needs some contrast.

It was a good sound, but it didn't do it for me. But keep it up!

EDIT: I'll just add that I'm at work so I didn't have it turned up very high. I'll have another listen tonight.

Sorry but in my opinion it sounds like techno.
What prog did you use? Or was it synth?

Okay, heard it properly now.

I think the vocals do it a lot of good. The music is still a tad repedative though.

Keep up the good work!

your welcome doo itteshimashite
just doing a search on Google you will find many pages that have
very good sounding Soundfonts for Classical music.
As for Wave files that's a bit tricky, you have to have a program like Kontakt in order to take advantage of them, atleast that's what I know, but you could
create your own sound fonts or even use Awave Studio, you would have to make it an instrument. Percussion sounding instruments it doesn't matter unless you want to have layered drums(which of course you would want)
