Why would you help the orcs though?
I saved and game him the axe, and as he left he said not to use the ladder because it came out in an orc camp, and that we were friends now. I thought this could mean he might be an ally later on, but never even heard mention of him again.
Also, I tried killing them, but got more experience for giving him the axe.
