Hello, i'm sorry to be bothering anyone, yet i've just bought the game, and am having troubles. Two troubles; to be specific, no more than that... so far - for reference, i've downloaded the latest patch already & looked through a FAQ for specific information on these two things.

-

My first trouble is with movement, it is... difficult to move my character around. As he tends to run into things, or end up in places that I haven't clicked. Even when he does move to where I wish, there is still a jerky-ness to his movement. I'm not sure if this is just my computer or not... However - If I missed this question somewhere else, i'm very sorry, I do apologize - I really don't mean to be a bother.

-

My other problem, is with my character's vision... it doesn't maek sense - to me - the black fog. I understand the purpose, I really do... but the line of sight, seems more... limited than feels necessary, so far even - that my character seems unable to view things several feet away from him. I do udnerstand the need to limit, the vision... especially on the mini map - but it's making the game difficult. Difficult... maybe that's a bad word, the game isn't supposed to be easy - I understand this. What I mean; is more that even with planning, patience, and carefulness in general... my limited vision is causing me to die despite my efforts to be tactical.

... I am wondering if there are ways within (no cheating) the game, to widen the characters line of sight somewhat? Because so far... it's been difficult.

-

Once again, sorry to bother y'all - I am enjoying the game aside from these two small things... If you can help, please do - if not - thank you very much for reading none the less.

No bother. Welcome to the forum. There is a skill commonly found on items or which can be invested in that will clear more of the black fog. It is the sight skill in the Warrior's Path--not the survivor's sight skill which is inferior.

edit: As to performance issues --Check if your system meets the recommended specs. Turn off any programs running in the background. Read the readme file; you will get a number of suggestions there such as lowering resolution, etc. Also make sure your drivers are up to date.

The question is not, Can they reason? nor, Can they talk? but, Can they suffer?

Oh, thank you... heh - i've been sticking to that inside the mage class so far - haven't tried skills outside. I'll have to look at the vision sutffs.

As for perfomance, i've definitly figured whatever is making my character move jerky & such isn't on my end. I've been checking the stuff you just listed - and it's a no go. The game itself actually seems to run fine... i'm ondering if it's just oddish path finding? Or something... bleh... I doubt that ; everything else in this game is so good, I doubt that - I'll check more - figure it out eventually.

But thanks again so much for your response!
