I am disappointed !

A lot of people here are romantic, they want a romance in the game
However nobody has been shocked when the hero in Divinity, is going in the brothel and about "the special traitment" .

The first time i played the game, i said no at the question about "the women" because i was sure to lose some reputation points if i had said yes.

well i'm no fan of such establishments but i think the game presented us with choices. whether we want to go for it or not, it's up to us. that's moral issues presented in the game & that's what makes a very deep RPG.

I was not shocked because it is a game, i was only afraid to lose my points.
The brothel in the game looks very funny, it was a good idea.

But in real life i am against prostitution and pornographia in all its forms.

Romance...it definetely would be great but as is said the deathknight is a nuisance...now come to think of it if i have a female warrior or mage and the deathknight is a dude..You can never get some good privacy (toilet, bathing etc. )

Aaah, but you see, the characters never do bathe or go to the toilet. That's why you get so little for selling armour!

talking about bladder( spelled right? ) control

there should be a bathing option then, even crusading knights went bathing every now and then..I feel awkward having a smelly li'll girl walking around..
so no wonder the elf didn't want to marry...

Fallout 2 and Baldur's Gate 2 had romance. So does the latest NWN expantion.
Romance adds to the RPG factor. And an RPG with only monsters to kill is called "Hack and Slash", which is not really a ROLEplayinggame.

Over the weekend I started playing Gothic II... There is a special "house" you can go to in that game (keep in mind this is all 3D) and then you can "go upstairs" with one of the "ladies" and then it plays a rendered video, it was pretty funny. I didn't mean that kind of romance though when I started this thread.

Woo hoo demo comes out soon!

I agree there. There are adventure games and FPS games for the 'hack and slash' stuff. Of course, nobody has to accept the romance in the games. In both FO2 and BG2, that option was there and you can just proceed with the 'hacking and slashing'

And yes! I vote for some romance in an RPG!

Don't you think BG2 and Fallout 2 are not hack and slash? At least not FO2: it has turn-based combat and intelligent quests. BG2 has too tactical combat.

Off Topic: For some reason, when I see "Gia", I think "Gaia"

you're trapped in an alternate demon dimention, full of demons, imps and whatever evil that could and will be
you're chained to your arch nemesis, a dark knight

now am I the only one that fails to see where romance would fit in here? =)

maybe a little SM cave like in =D

If you play a child character and meet an imp named M.J...

But you can later travel dimentions!

Too much technicalities!! Tsk! Tsk!

No matter.. I love those games. I'm a hopeless romantic. What can I say?

Good to see you again, Master DeathAtTheDoor.
