Hey Faile, speaking of the Mayans, they had a special place for July 26. Would you happen to know the significance of this day for them? I have read that there is a pillar at the center of a huge plaza in one of their cities that is only 1 foot high and casts no shadow at noon on that day.
That made me think. It reminds me of the moon. The moon's shadow is reborn once every cycle. The Mayan's brought rebirth to the Sun's shadow, so to speak!
