Me is faster then Kejero <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> If you really want a gorgeous homemade level for this game you just have to try Tombrabit. I absolutly love it . It is one of the best homemadelevels I've ever seen . While you're playing you will be Overwhelmed by action and adeventure . You'll forget to sleep and to eat because it is sooo addictive. Not only the gameplay is a must also the graphics are wonderfull and you'll notice that this game is made by very talented developers who not only know what they are doing , but who also love their work . here is the official tombrabbit website Ah well that was a good desception no ? To be fair I have to say that I don't know Jazzrabbit and I never played it but hey , I just know that Tombrabbit can't be bad .If you have more questions I am sure that the developers will take some of their time to answer them <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Well, I looked into Tomb Rabbit <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> , and I must say that I found it quite difficult, at least at first glance.
Well, I'll see ... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

IIRC you just jump. If you have spaz, it's double jump and for jazz, it's the ear helicopter. Tried?

Managed it yesterday. With running and jumping it's manageable.
But imho some few parts are quite difficult, I 'd almost say unfair. Jumping parts.

I made it through the Secret Files - for the first time ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> By the way, at the very end iof it, there is a sign reading : "go to www.project2.com" . What's this ? The Domain doesn't exist anymore ... ( I'm not 100 % sure whether it was .com or something else ...)

"Project 2 Interactive", the team that made Jazz Jackrabbit, is no more. They were working on a Jazz 3D when it happened -- that project got cancelled. They're now called Project 3 Interactive (really <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> ), and they've published a few games, one of them a Myst-clone, called Schizm. The new website is www.p3int.com

Well, the company went bankcrupt and the game is abandonware material. Download Jazz Jackrabbit 2 [Abandonware] Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Holiday Hare [Freeware] Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The Secret Files [Abandonware]EDIT: In case if you're wondered: Abandonware, N. Abandonware is computer software (such as an operating system, word processor, interactive game, or audio file) that is no longer marketed or distributed by the company that created it, but is obtainable from some other source. Some popular products that have been at least temporarily abandoned include NeXTStep, the operating system for the NeXT computer; OpenStep, its successor; and many interactive games that were replaced by more sophisticated products. In some cases, a company or Web site gets permission from the creator to distribute the abandoned program; but sometimes they don't. To use abandonware that you download, you often need a license string that the software recognizes as entitling the user to install it. In this case, the downloading site provides a license string that is known to work. Abandonware is often provided as freeware or as priced shareware.

Yeah, I know what Abandonware is; however, it still remainds to me a "grey zone", unless the former developers explicitely give it free for download ...

Yup, it's me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. I'll try to change pics less often. In fact, my next pic might me my first: Elijah Snow again. But I will keep this one for a while: I like it. Tell me if you liked the game(s). Good to see you again, Shyon. Welcome back.

Subject: Jazz Jackrabbit 2-3 ? Hello, I would like to know what happened of Project 2 .... - back to the times when Jazz Jackrabbit 2 was done, and a rumored Jazz Jackrabbit 3 was in development. As a second question, I'd like to know what's the meaning of an "Easter Egg" hidden in "Jazz Jackrabbit 2 : Secret Files" - if anybody is still able to remember. At the very end of that part, there was an in-game sign reading one should visit www.project2.com and use a password called "bunnylover" (apparently related to Jazz Jack*rabbit* or his companions) - I've never understood it, because since I know this game, the website is down. As a last question I'd like to know how to get the game nowadays. Is there still any official source for the game - the remnants of Project 2 or Epic Megagames ? If not - could it be then possible to give the game free for further generations ? It is still a good game, although Jump 'n' Run games seem to have been dying out on the PC. Greetings, Ok here is the story.
Project 2 went down and out in March 2001. Project 3 was founded by some former P2 members about half a year later.
The Easteregg "bunnylover" thing was for a contest held back then, you cannot win or do anything with it anymore.
I don't think there is an official source for the game, look for it on budget shelves in stores, but chances are it has long gone. No publisher is doing something with the game; after all it was first released in 1999 - long way back.
We have contacted Epic in the past to get the character of Jazz Jackrabbit but they wanted far too much money for it. So, I guess we buried poor old Jazz...
regards Erik

I can think of only one that is really different from the pile, and that's The Lost World Epsisode by Ninja Dodo. It comes with some 3d cutscenes, which was pretty original. So I contacted Dodo, and in some distant future when Tomb rabbit 2 is released, there will be a Tomb rabbit 2 trailer released by the same guy -- yippie <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> As personal tastes are only personal, here's the list of custom levels etc. at Jazz2Online ordered by rating. Obviously ordered by number of downloads gives a better idea of good levels *cough* <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> *shrug* <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> Mind you, these are not only single player levels, but you can filter the list if you want.

Did you get this mail or did you get it from a forum or so? If it's from a forum, this info might be pretty dated. Pretty recently (half a year ago?) the GameBoy Advance version of Jazz Jackrabbit was released, an all new game making use of new animations (I guess Noogie wasn't available <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" />) and partly new graphics. Not sure which team made the game, but if it's another team, it means Jazz was sold afterall. Either way, it looks like the bunny isn't burried just yet <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

I got this e-mail from the public relations department at Project 3. I had a look at that Gameboy Advance version -- Project 2 (or 3) isn't mentioned anywhere, so I guess it isn't too hard to figure out what happened. From what I've seen, the name is the only thing this GBA platformer has in common with old Jazz. Apart from part of the graphics and music, but that's not what I'm talking about <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Simply asking what's going on with the game, if you can buy it, if there are new ones, who made the GBA version and so on . <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

I didn't know there was a Jazz Jackrabbit thread! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />
This used to be one of my favorite games back in the day. When there was nothing but dos games, I would play this when I wasn't playing Doom or Lemmings, etcetera.
The music in the background can get annoying after a while though (and trust me, I would be playing it for hours, beating it on one difficulty the chasing it with the next <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> -- then I would forget the program on, and go watch TV on the other side of the room, and the music would be playing for about ten minutes before I notice it, then I notice that I've been noticing it in the back of my mind... something happens, and it get's annoying <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> ).
Good times.
(dooo-dee-dooo... dee-dee-dee-dee-dah-dah-dah doh-dah-dee-dee-dah-dah-doh-dooo-dee-dooo... doouh-dah-doouh) I havn't played game that for many (seven?) years, and it's stil stuck in my head!
